About Institute:

Nalanda Bharatnatyam Nritya Niketan. Thane is an autonomous institute working in the field of Bharatnatyam for last 27 years.  We are rently rewarded trophy at Eight Children International Festival held at Delhi in Balbhavan from (23 November'07 to 28 November'07)

The main objectives of the Institute are :

1. To teach Bharatnatyam in traditional Pandnullur style.

2. To incorporate public in general to appreciate Bharatnatyam.

3. To preserve cultural heritage.

4. To encourage and guide the students to pursue dance as their career.

5. To conduct basic research in "Sahitya" of Bharatnatyam.

6. To present Bharatnatyam  in variety of different compositions like Nritya Natya, Chinnur Etc.

Presently Nalanda Bharatayam Nritya Niketan conducts it's Bharatnatyam training in the following centres :

1. M.H. High School, Shivaji Path, Thane
   Timing : Saturday 4.30pm to 8.30pm, Sunday 10.30am to 1.00pm
    

2. Dr. Bedekar Vidya Mandir, Naupada, Thane
   Timing : Monday 6.30pm to 9.00pm,
                 Wednesday 6.30pm to 9.00pm
    

3. Lokpuram Public School, Lokpuram, Thane
   Timing : Thursday 6.30pm to 9.00pm,
                  Sunday 8am to 10.30am
    

4. New Kalwa High School
   Timing : Saturday 4.30 to 7.30, Sunday 4.30 to 7.30
    

5. Manisha Naghar Amrit Baug Society, Kalwa
   Timing : Tuesday 6.30 to 9.00pm, Thursday 6.30 to 9.00pm
    

6. Ladies Special Batch
   M.H. High School, Shivaji Path, Thane
   Timing : Saturday 7pm to 9pm, Sunday 7pm to 9pm
